Assessment of the evolutionary landuse and landcover changes in chosen parts of the Stropnice studied area
JIROUŠKOVÁ, Lenka
The ecologic explanation of term landscape is meant as the system of natural and fellow conditional elements those common relationships could be harmonic or unbalanced. The goal of studies in this conception is usually the structure, function and dynamics of the landscape. The most important factors causing the change of natural landscape into cultural landscape are agriculture and forestry. My work is aimed to show the landscape structure analysis results in the area of Bedřichovský potok basin. This area represents the example of very intensive agricultural used area of the south part of Czech Republic. Attachments of aerial pictures from years 1956, 2004, 2006 represents the course of changes of Czech landscape in second half of 20Th Century. On the basis of picture interpretation and GIS tools were quantified basic landscape usage types characteristics.
The influence of changes of land cover on connectivity of fluvial processes in catchment
Kofroňová, Jitka ; Langhammer, Jakub (advisor) ; Kliment, Zdeněk (referee)
The connectivity of fluvial processes or hydrological connectivity are terms often used to describe internal linkages in landscape that intensify/reduce water and sediment fluxes as well as the substances they contain. It is based on the concept of landscape connectivity defined, in particular, by fragmentation of landscape and barriers that obstruct the movement of material. While researches focusing on water erosion or runoff focus on the volume of different fluxes, connectivity reveals new information on catchment functioning as well as reactions to various types of stimuli, and thus represents a more complex phenomenon. This master thesis informs about the topic as a whole, it describes the main forms of its modelling and specific influences that have major impact on presented results. Three approaches of modelling were tested. The main concept lies in evaluation of the index of connectivity, firstly, with approach proposed by Borselli et al. (2008) and implemented in software ArcGIS and secondly, in software SedInConnect 2.0. The third approach is modelling connectivity in software LAPSUS 5.0 that belongs to landscape evolution models. Modelling in LAPSUS proved that using even this indirect method for evaluation of hydrological connectivity is a suitable approach. Selected area for modelling...
Analysis of landcover changes in the area of Sokolovsko using GIS and remote sensing
Šubr, Ondřej ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Rojík, Petr (referee)
Region called "Sokolovsko" is an area in the Czech Republic in which a coal mining has caused a great interference with the appearance of the landscape. With a subsequent reclamation, the affected areas are recreated into new landscapes, however on the research base, the non-interference approach is applied in order to follow the principles of a natural succession. This diploma thesis examines the influence of the origin, respectively the relief of the dump area on the intensity of the spontaneous vegetation growth, within the example of the Velká podkrušnohorská spoil heap, based on the data collected by remote sensing techniques. The vegetation indices NDVI and SAVI were used to reveal the intensity of the vegetation cover on the area of the interest. It is clear from the results that the vegetation growth is considerably faster in the areas with the original, wavy relief. It was also found that the vegetation growth of the non reclaimed area of Velká podkrušnohorská spoil heap in the parts of which the relief was settled at the time of the origin differs from the non reclaimed area of which the relief was left in the original wavy surface and later over layered with a new material. Finally it was made a comparison between the non reclaimed part of the Velká podkrušnohorská spoil heap whose...
Evaluation of land cover database based on Prague metropole area
Míček, Ondřej ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Holman, Lukáš (referee)
Evaluation of land cover databases based on Prague metropole area Abstract: The aim of this study was to compare land cover databases Corine a Urban Atlas and assess their informative capability and classification systems. The work is focused on evaluation of land cover changes in Prague metropole area and its surroundings in period 1990 - 2000 a 2000 - 2006. The practical part is focused on land cover changes studied by remote sensing, suburbanization proces and comparison of different classification systems. Analysis of different land cover changes was made using spatial overlay. The study proved, that changes in the area are highly influenced by proces of suburbanization. It was also proved, that use of Corine database to study these changes causes a significant loss of information. Key words: landcover, Corine, Urban Atlas, Prague
Analysis of agricultural landscape development in emergency planning zone of Temelín NPP
METELEC, Adam
The bachelor thesis desribes agriculture in area of emergency planning zone of Temelin NPP (nuclear power plant), especially the crop rotations and a yield of the growned plants of the farms in this area. The informations collected from the observation are compared with bibliography, data of the Czech statistical office and the Ministry of Agriculture Czech republic. The economical development of the market, whitch is the most important factor of the agricultural production together with the weather, is located in the last part of this thesis. The comapration of collected data has been made with data of the Southern Bohemian region country and with the situation of the whole Czech republic. None negative influence in the agricultural production was observed from the NPP Temelin. The agricultural production in this area is substandard in compare with the situation of the Czech republic.
